2 Unique Tours on the Sunshine Coast

Arriving 30th October, I spent the 1st week of November on the Sunshine Coast, staying at Ramada Marcoola Beach with Club Wyndham.

We'd just had a fantastic week in the Cairns region where we were busy almost every day, and were ready for a more relaxing week.

My first happy surprise was that we had a wonderful view of the pool and ocean from our balcony.

Walking past the pool there was direct access to Marcoola Beach.

My second happy surprise is that the Noosa region is home to one of only two everglades in the world. I was well aware of the everglades in Florida and had no idea until this trip that there were also everglades in Australia.

We headed to Habitat Noosa where we had lunch and were treated to wild kangaroos hopping past. If you are looking for a great camping location near Noosa this looks fantastic and is well worth a visit even if you aren't doing the Everglades cruise.

We headed out for the cruise and enjoyed the relaxing time on the water. We saw lots of different ecosystems as we moved from salty water to fresh, and saw a number of different birds, including pelicans.

Our closest views were of a couple of Tawny Frogmouths, that blended into their chosen trees beautifully.

Snorkelling with Turtles at Mudjimba Island

We went out snorkelling with Sunreef Mooloolaba and I was lucky enough to see two different turtles underwater, one much smaller than the next. The crew were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make sure everyone that went could make the most of their experience.

I was practising with underwater video that didn't go well. I haven't yet cracked an affordable, easy to use, set up for underwater shots yet, but I also need a lot more practice!

We also did a quick visit to Noosa and the beach is beautiful.

There is a coastal walk that runs from Noosa up to the National Park. I saw pictures of the views online and they look amazing. I had hoped to do it but we didn't get time, so that will need to be another trip,
